At the commencement of our obedience to conscience, it is best to do so with a commandment before your mind, such as love your neighbor as yourself.
Meditate on how to fulfill it.
This aligns our misguided conscience, and doing so will engage your mind and lead you into the fulfillment of this commandment and others.
Just as we need to breathe while we breathe the divine breath of God through Christ, we must obey our conscience adequately to have the virtuous life necessary to have faith in Jesus Christ, remaining in a state of salvation that is union with Christ through the presence of love in the soul and in the knowledge that we have been given eternal life.
Blessed is the man who meditates on the law of the Lord. Psalm 1
