Heaven

The warm embrace of fire in the dry and hardened cold.

The comfort of a blanket of sheep wool in a house secured by guardians of God.

The imperfect voice of a mother singing with joy and eternal love for a newborn under the stars of the heavens.

The unbroken loyalty of a wife and husband, the honor of a child to his parents, the kiss of a loved one, the holy descent of angels from heaven to your rescue, the singing of saints, the infinity in the praise of seraphim, the glory of the resurrection, the glory of eternity in man’s soul, the comfort of praying to and seeking the intercession of Mary, the birth giver of our God, Jesus Christ, and the mother of all.

This is heaven.

Seek it and love it, for the more we love it now, the more we are prepared to love it then.
